An entitlement plan is used to automatically insert entitlements of employees for a specific year. An entitlement actually refers to an absence type that exists, in order to justify an employees' absence. So for instance, if Annual Leave is an absence is then there must also be entitlement for Annual Leave otherwise employee absence will not be justified. Even for an unpaid leave U/L there must also be an entitlement of U/L.

Each entitlement plan entry has a measure unit. This is either 'Years of Service' or 'Dates Specific'. 

  

Years of Service 

The system uses Date of Joinment entered using the User Hr Profile plugin for each employee and calculates the employee entitlements. Based on the date of joinment and the year selected to insert entitlements for, it calculates the correct entitlements also where the year falls between changing entitlements.

 

Dates Specific 

The systems uses specific dates to calculate the employee entitlements i.e 12/25 (Christmas) P/H(public holiday), 12/26 (Boxing Day) etc.

 

New Entitlement Plan Structure

 

Entitlement Plan : Select a Plan from the drop-down list. Mandatory.

Absence Type : Select an Absence Type from the drop-down list. Mandatory.

Measure Unit : Select Years of Service or Dates Specific from the drop-down list. 

From : Enter the start of the period. If Measure Unit Selection is Years of service -> Format is 99 

If Absence Type selected is measured in Days -> If Dates Specific -> Format is mm-dd.

If Absence Type selected is measured in Hours_minutes -> If Dates Specific -> Format is mm-dd hh:mi

To :  Enter the end of the period. If Measure Unit Selection is Years of service -> Format is 99 

If Absence Type selected is measured in Days -> If Dates Specific -> Format is mm-dd.

If Absence Type selected is measured in Hours_minutes -> If Dates Specific -> Format is mm-dd hh:mi

Entitlement Amount : Enter the entitlement amount (if the absence is measured in Days, the entitlement amount will be in days, otherwise it will be in minutes)

Content : Enter text to describe the Entitlement Plan Structure. Not Mandatory.

Status : Select Whether status is Published, Unpublished, Archived or Trashed.

Category : Entitlement Plans Structure -> Default Value that can change.

Featured : Select whether Featured or not

Access : Select whether Access is Public, Special etc.
